Dr May Parisien (formerly May Plummer) is the president of Represent Action. Dr Parisien is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Associate Professor of Pathology at Columbia University in New York City. She is a Fellow of The College of American Pathologists, Member of The American Society of Clinical Pathology and of the International Skeletal Society. In 1991, she was the recipient of a prestigious grant of a 1.5 million dollars from the National Institute of Health (NIH) for Scientific Research on Osteoporosis. She is the author of more than 60 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals, has contributed many book chapters to the literature and is a reviewer for several Journals of Musculo-Skeletal Pathology and Research. Dr Parisien is an active member of the teaching faculty of Columbia University School of Medicine and an Attending Pathologist at the New York Presbyterian Hospital, and a guest lecturer at several hospitals in New York. She is also involved in several community projects for the benefit of Haiti and is a visiting professor at the Universite Notre-Dame in Haiti. She is a member of the Boards of the National Organization for the Advancement of Haitians (NOAH) and of PromoCapital.
