Daniel Beaubrun
Filed under:
Daniel "Dady" Beaubrun is the son of Haitian actor, theater and television impresario Theodore "Languichatte" Beaubrun. Daniel is a bass player who founded Boukman Eksperyans along with brother Lolo in the late 1970s. The group did not gain national prominence however until the early 1990s thanks to repeated appearances on Jean-Pierre Brax and Richard Senecal's TNH show Fashion. After the group's Kem Pa Sote landslide at one memorable late 80s-early 90s carnival, the group reached a peak in the mid to late 90s and Dady, rumored to be fed up with sister-in-law Manze Beaubrun, eventually left the band to move to New York.
Today he collaborates with numerous haitian and non-haitian projects as a contract musician and is known in connoisseur circles as a talented bass player.
