Clonide Telfort Was born in Haiti, St-Louid du Nord in the late 70's. Since she was a little girl, her dream was to become a singer. In 1996, her dream came true when she met Cleona Pierre, aka Cleo. They first formed this small singing group called Explosion, then became D'Sire. The D'sire groups lasted for nine years and the girls went on their own personal journey.Clonide, recently perform with Emiline Michel on May 8th, 2010. She is still persuing her dreams.On top being a wonderful mother to her children, she's also in school on externship to be a future medecal lab tech. Clonide Telfort, went further by changing her maiden name to Clonide Laporte in 2004. Lastly, her last name came from none other but the famous Haitian Kompa guitarist Gabriel Laporte.
