Founded in 1980 mainly by ex-Les Freres Dejean Members, System band imposed itself in the Haitian Konpa scene very rapidly.
This success was no surprise considering the talents of the musicians of the band lead by the inevitable lead singer [[123:Isnard Douby]]. Douby, already a high class singer from Les Freres Dejean, was backed up by guitarists Ronald Smith, Reginald Benjamin, bassist [[354:Ernst Vincent]] also of Les Freres Dejean to propose a high caliber konpa band: System Band, Machiavel Caramel
Browsing the repertoire of the band, from 1980 on there are only hits after hits. From Vacances to Cesar, passing by the classic Anita. System has a particular formula to create a hit music from common practices in life, practices sometimes we are too attached too like money in Cesar, Viagra, Assorosi.
